A DLL needed for .NET Shell protection could not be loaded by DinkeyAdd.

If you have copied DinkeyAdd files from the SDK installation directory, for example if you are using the DinkeyAdd API libraries in another application, you must also copy the supporting DLL(s) to the same location. For 32-bit applications the supporting DLL is DinkeyAdd.NET.dll, for 64-bit applications it is DinkeyAdd.NET64.dll.

A problem occurred during communication with a server on the internet.

Most internet connection problems are temporary. Wait a while and then try to perform the action again.

If the problem persists, check to see whether the operating system and other applications can access the internet. Also check the availability of Microcosm servers (www.microcosm.co.uk and www.microcosm.com) using ping and/or a web browser.

See related articles for more information about extended error codes related to internet connection problems, that can help you to diagnose the underlying cause.

These errors indicate that a debug library could not create a subprocess, or was not able to communicate with the subprocess.

These errors most often indicate that antivirus software prevented the subprocess file from being created or executed. To resolve this issue in the short term, add the subprocess file or its containing folder to the antivirus software's exception list. On Windows the filename begins with DPSBR and the file is located in %TEMP%\Microcosm. On other platforms the filename begins with dpsbr (lowercase) and the file is located in $TMPDIR.

For a permanent solution, check the antivirus software's log for a full description of the reason the file was blocked, and send this information to our support team.

This error can occur when adding Shell protection to a .NET assembly. The error means that we cannot create a temporary file and is most likely to be caused by an anti-virus program blocking this file creation.

Please add DinkeyAdd to the list of exceptions for the anti-virus program, or if that does not fix the problem please turn off the anti-virus program while you are adding protection to your .NET assembly.
