How to find your SDSN and SDK version
Last updated on
Your SDSN
Your Software Developer's Serial Number, or SDSN, is your unique Dinkey Pro customer ID. You must use the same SDSN each time you place an order, to ensure that the dongles are compatible with your SDK and protected software. See this article for more information. You should also include your SDSN when contacting our support team, to help us to find your order history and support history, which will allow us to help resolve your issue more quickly.
Demo dongles and the demo SDK use SDSN 10101.
Starting with version 8.1, your SDSN can be found in the VERSION.txt file in the Dinkey Pro SDK installation directory. If this file is not present, you are using an older version of the SDK and you should update—see below.
Other places to find your SDSN:
- On your invoices.
- On the Account Details page in your online account.
- In the DinkeyLook SDK utility. On Windows and macOS, go to Help > About in DinkeyLook's menu.
On Linux, run DinkeyLook with the
--versioncommand-line parameter.
SDK version
We strongly recommend that you always use the latest version of the Dinkey Pro SDK. You can see the latest SDK version and request an update on this page. All SDK updates are provided free of charge.
Starting with version 8.1, the SDK version can be found in the VERSION.txt file in the SDK installation directory. If this file is not present, you are using an older version and you should update.
To find the version of any of the SDK utilities on Windows and macOS, go to Help > About in the application's menu.
On Linux, run DinkeyLook or DinkeyChange with the --version command-line parameter, and DinkeyAdd or DinkeyRemote with the --help command-line parameter.
